Project Overview

The City of Lake Worth Beach is proposing the development of a new City-owned parking garage, along with the relocation of two City-owned historic structures that currently house the Leisure Services Department. The project site is located at the northwest corner of South K Street and 1st Avenue South.

Proposed Applications and Approvals

The proposed development includes the following applications and approvals:

  • Unity of Title for five (5) parcels

  • Conditional Use

  • Certificates of Appropriateness

  • Major Site Plan for a planned development consisting of a City-owned parking garage and two relocated historic structures

  • Sustainable Bonus Incentives

  • Right-of-Way Abandonment

Neighborhood Meeting

A neighborhood meeting is anticipated to be held at the Compass Community Center on April 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Following the neighborhood meeting, the application will be reviewed by the City's Historic Resource Preservation Board (HRPB) and subsequently considered at two (2) City Commission meetings.
