Board Liaison – Water Utilities Director: Sam Heady
The Waterways Board is a reconfiguration of the C-51 Canal Advisory Committee, revised by Resolution 14-2023. The five (5) member board shall advise and inform the City Commission regarding water bodies and public lands adjacent to or discharging into the Lake Worth Lagoon and/or near to Lake Worth Beach for recreational uses, youth education, water safety, protection of water quality and protection of native aquatic species. Members must be residents of the city and, to the extent possible, have experience in one of following: youth education, especially water related; boating, or an aspect of water science.
The Board shall meet as necessary or as requested by the City Commission or the City Manager.
