Lake Worth Beach Holiday Bike Giveaway Brings Joy to More than 100 Children
The spirit of the season came alive as more than 100 children, ages 3-16, received brand-new bicycles during the annual Lake Worth Beach Holiday Bike Giveaway. The event not only provided bikes but also included important safety demonstrations, ensuring that each child is equipped to ride safely. Helmets and safety gear were distributed, reinforcing the program’s commitment to fostering a safe and active lifestyle for local children.
This heartwarming initiative was made possible through the generous support of the following sponsors: Lake Worth Beach Electric Utilities, Safe Kids of South Florida, Florida Blue, Healthier Lake Worth, The Rotary Club of Lake Worth Beach, Downtown Jewel Neighborhood Association, Guardian Solutions Group and Mr. Greg Rice.
The children were also invited to ride their new bikes and wear their new helmets in the annual Lake Worth Beach Holiday Parade taking place Saturday, December 14 in Downtown Lake Worth Beach.
Commissioner Reinaldo Diaz was onsite to help distribute bicycles and express his gratitude, saying, “Every year I'm blown away at the response from our community to support the Bike Giveaway. We're really appreciative of our sponsors and all the people who helped contribute to get these bikes, because it's no small feat to give out this many bicycles.”
