Lake Worth Beach, FL — In response to COVID-19 the City of Lake Worth Beach has taken the precautionary action to cancel, and/or postpone the following City Recreation Programs. As of 6pm the City of Lake Worth Beach Public Library, Lake Worth Historical Museum, and Norman J. Wimbley Gymnasium are closed until further notice. 

Municipal parks will remain open for public use. The public is reminded that the use of municipal parks is at their own risk. The City of Lake Worth Beach encourages residents to exercise social distancing as advised by the Center for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov)

There will be no park pavilion rentals available until the end of April. All municipal special event right of way permits issued through the end of April are rescinded immediately.

All City meetings that are not legally mandated are cancelled including conferences, advisory boards, workshops, training events, and meetings. Scheduled City Commission Meetings are not cancelled at this time. Further information regarding City meetings, events, programs, building closures, and gatherings will be sent out as decisions are made based on advice from Federal, State, and County partners.

The City urges the public to monitor the City Website (www.lakeworthbeachfl.gov) for up-to-date information. In addition the public should follow the City’s Social Media channels for further information.
