Lake Worth Beach, FL — Regretfully due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Lake Worth Beach has cancelled the Wheels for Kids St Patrick’s Day Parade, planned for March 15, as a strictly precautionary measure to reduce the risk of the virus spreading. Due to previous year’s successes the parade draws large crowds to the Lake Worth Beach Downtown and with the sharp increase in cases along with the cancellation of nearby parades, including Delray Beach and Ft Lauderdale, City officials and Parade Organizers decided to cancel the event as the health and well-being of residents and visitors remains top priority.
Information regarding other City meetings, events, and gatherings will be sent out as decisions are made based on advice from Federal, State, and County partners. At this time the public are urged to watch the City Website (www.lakeworthbeachfl.gov) and Official Social Media channels for further information.
The Florida Department of Health has established a dedicated Coronavirus (COVID19) call center (18667796121) for the public to call 24 hours a day. In addition, the public can email COVID19@flhealth.gov for information.
