CITY OF LAKE WORTH BEACH
NOTICE OF CITY COMMISSION WORK SESSION
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2020 – 6:00 PM
Due to the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and Federal, State and Palm Beach County’s Declarations of State of Emergency, the City of Lake Worth Beach City Hall remains closed to the public. On November 19, 2020, the City Commission will be meeting in City Hall Chambers to conduct a work session. The following specific information is provided as to the November 19, 2020 work session:
(1) The session will be held at City Hall, 7 N. Dixie Highway, Lake Worth Beach, Florida. Since City Hall is closed to the public, there will be no physical access points provided to the public at City Hall.
(2) Persons interested in attending the sessions may access the sessions online at: https://lakeworthbeachfl.gov/government/watch/. The sessions will also be posted on YouTube (normally within 24 hours with closed-captioning included). Minutes of the sessions will also be available at a later date online or by contacting the Office of the City Clerk.
(3) In order to address the concerns with the COVID-19, public comment will be handled as follows: If an interested person desires to provide public comment, all comments must be directed to the Office of the City Clerk by going to the website (this is the link: https://portal.lakeworthbeachfl.gov/public-comment-card/.) The City will accept such public comment up to fifteen (15) minutes before the start of the meeting. If timely received by the Office of the City Clerk, the Chair or designee will read the public comment at the meeting. Due to the volume of comment cards we receive, please submit them on the website or, if not available, to CityClerk@lakeworthbeachfl.gov; comments sent directly to the City Clerk at DAndrea@lakeworthbeachfl.gov may not be read prior to the meeting. The Commission’s Rules of Decorum for all public comment will be strictly enforced. Any portion of a comment that violates the Rules of Decorum will not be read. All comments will be maintained with the City’s meeting minutes. Due to the nature of this discussion there may be many comment cards and not all cards will be read into the record. All comments made at this meeting will be directed to the appropriate departments and they will contact you directly at the email address you provide.
