Lake Worth Beach Public Works Paves the Way!

District 1

Can you believe it has been 4 years since 2/3 of Lake Worth Beach voters approved the $40 Million Neighborhood Road Program? As we enter the final year of the project our Public Works team are pleased to report that not only is the project on time but it has actually come in under budget! This means that this project will cost Lake Worth Beach tax payers less than expected.Residents in District 1 received $10.7 Million of investment and miles of new road has now been installed. Public Works is paving the way to a smoother ride home!

Did you know roads were selected for the Neighborhood Road Program using a pavement condition index which assigned a score to every road in the city? Roads were prioritized according to need so that the worst rated roads were corrected first. As we enter the final year of the project our Public Works team are pleased to report that not only is the project on time but it has actually come in under budget! This means that this project will cost Lake Worth Beach tax payers less than expected.Residents in District 2 received $7.4 Million of investment and miles of new road has now been installed. Public Works is paving the way to a smoother ride to visit family!

Have you heard that there is more than just asphalt beneath our streets? While planning the Neighborhood Road Project Public Works worked with Electric and Water teams to ensure other projects could be completed in tandem, for example many parts of the watermain replacement project were completed at the same time a road was being repaired. As we enter the final year of the project our Public Works team are pleased to report that not only is the project on time but it has actually come in under budget! This means that this project will cost Lake Worth Beach tax payers less than expected.Residents in District 3 received $12 Million of investment and miles of new road has now been installed. Public Works is paving the way to a smoother ride to future events!

What do you mean my street didn’t get the grades to be part of the Neighborhood Road Program? Although every road was graded not every road needed as much help, only roads that were in the worst condition were part of the program. Don’t worry though that doesn’t mean your street is forgotten as Public Works will continue to work on every road even as the program wraps up. As we enter the final year of the project our Public Works team are pleased to report that not only is the project on time but it has actually come in under budget! This means that this project will cost Lake Worth Beach tax payers less than expected.Residents in District 4 received $5.5 Million of investment and miles of new road has now been installed. Public Works is paving the way to a smoother ride during your next parade!
