COA Application Fees and Checklists

  • Application fees are due prior to permit issuance for Staff Approvals
  • Application fees are due prior to the public meeting for Historic Resources Preservation Board Approvals
  • The fees are calculated based on the scope of work after an application is submitted

COA Checklist – Windows and Doors

  • Floor plan drawings labeled to indicate the window and door layout (clearly indicate opening sizes and windows type)
  • Photos of all sides of the building with existing windows clearly shown. Existing windows in photos to be keyed to the floor plan drawing.
  • Drawings to indicate proposed divided light and/or panel configuration (if any) and/or a color brochure or color image(s) of the proposed products showing the proposed divided light configuration.
  • A valid NOA/Product Approval for each product requested

COA Checklist – Roof Replacement

  • A valid NOA/Product Approval for each product requested
  • Photos of the existing roof.
  • A color brochure or color image(s) of the proposed products

COA Checklist – General Exterior Alterations and Additions

  • Drawings shall, at minimum, include all elevations, floor plans, and site plan (if site work is proposed). All drawings shall be architectural quality, dated, properly dimensioned, describe materials, and have a north arrow and directional labels (N, S, E, W). The site plan shall include a Site Data Table to demonstrate existing and proposed calculations for FAR/square footage, lot size, height, setbacks, lot coverage, and impermeable surface; and clearly labeled to demonstrate how all land development regulations have been satisfied
  • Photos of all sides of the existing building or site.
  • A recent survey of the subject property, dated within the last two years for residential or 6 months for commercial properties for all projects that: require site work, alter the building footprint or lot coverage, or alter site hardscape or impermeable surface ratio
  • A valid NOA/Product Approval for each product requested, such as Windows, Doors, Roofs
  • Additional drawings and information may be required as determined by Staff sufficiency review

COA Checklist – New Construction

  • 400 ft. Radius Map, copy of mailing labels obtained from Palm Beach County Property Appraiser
  • Drawings shall, at minimum, include all elevations, floor plans, aperliminary landscape plan, site plan, and streetscape to show context of 2 properties on either side of the subject site. All drawings shall be architectural quality, dated, properly dimensioned, describe materials, and have a north arrow and directional labels (N, S, E, W). The site plan shall include a Site Data Table to demonstrate existing and proposed calculations for FAR/square footage, lot size, height, setbacks, lot coverage, and impermeable surface; and clearly labeled to demonstrate how all land development regulations have been satisfied
  • A recent survey of the subject property, dated within the last two years for residential or 6 months for commercial properties
  • Photos of existing site.
  • A valid NOA/Product Approval for each product requested, such as Windows, Doors, Roofs
  • Additional drawings and information may be required as determined by Staff sufficiency review

COA Checklist – Demolition

  • 400 ft. Radius Map, copy of mailing labels obtained from Palm Beach County Property Appraiser
  • Photos of the existing building and site.
  • A recent survey of the subject property, dated within the last two years for residential or 6 months for commercial properties
  • Request for demolition of a contributing historic resource requires a concurrent application for new   construction.   Please   see the   “New   Construction”   checklist   and   include   all   required attachments
